Mashina Vremeny
A graduate of the Gnesins’ Musical Academy in Moscow.
He began his musical career in 1988 as a trumpet player at Moscow Dixieland Jazz Band under the conduct of Mikhail Novitski and collaborated with this band till 1995.
In 1992 Alexander began to perform with a popular Moscow jazz group “Kvartal”. From 2003 till these days Alexander has been not only the artist, but also the director of this group.
In 1993 in a duet with Vladimir Krainev Alexander performed the famous Concerto no.1 for Piano, Trumpet and Symphonic orchestra written by D.Shostakovich.
From the year of 2000 till these days Alexander plays in live jazz concerts with the well known Moscow jazz quintet “Edelveis”.
In 2003 Alexander became an artist of “The Orchestra of the Creol Tango” under the conduct of the legendary Russian artist Andrey Makarevich.
Since 2004 till these days Alexander Ditkovski is the trumpet player at the legendary Soviet and Russian rock-group “Mashina Vremeni”.
Alexander has recorded music for many top Russian singers and musical groups.
Alexander Ditkovski has composed and recorded trumpet music for many cinema films and commercials: “From 180 and higher”, “Happy Birthday, Lola!”, “The Captain’s kids” TV-serial, “Galina” – a movie about the Soviet “Kremlin princess” Galina Brezhneva and other films.
His spare time Alexander dedicates to jazz club performances and to corporate events.
