A trumpeter, Manwook Han is a well-established musician with many experiences as a soloist, chamber musician and an active orchestra member. Han graduated Keimyung University with Bachelor’s degree and continued his study at Freiburg Musikhochschule, Germany. While studying in Germany, he has joined Freiburg Pilharmonic Orchestra as a guest member and participated at Esilon International Camp in France and Cleveland Orchestra Mike Sachs Master Class where he cultivated his musicianship.
Han has also displayed his excellent musicianship by winning first place at Keimyung University State Music Competition and Busan Competition. He was invited to perform at a national debut concert sponsored by Chosun-Daily Newspaper Company and Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra Asia Project. Han’s first solo-recital was held at Woobong Art Hall and shortly after, he was invited to give a solo-recital by Yamaha Artist. Han has performed as a soloist with many well-known orchestras; Busan Philharmonic, Daegu Philharmonic, Ulsan Philharmonic, Ulsan Wind Orchestra, Ulsan Youth Orchestra, New Prime Orchestra, Daegu City Orchestra, Keimyung Symphonic Band, Kyungsan Woodwind, Kimcheon Philharmonic.
Han actively unfolds his musicianship as a chamber-musician by leading the Trumpet Cantabile. He is currently a Soloist and principal trumpeter in Ulsan Philharmonic Orchestra and teaches at Kyungbook National University and Kyungbook Art Highschool.
