Artist's BiographyMark Dulin is visiting lecturer of trumpet at the University of Akron. He is a former member of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra and the Sarasota Orchestra. He has performed with the Emerson String Quartet giving the North American premiere of Dimitri Shostakovichs op 41a.
Dr. Dulin has given recent masterclasses and lectures at the Juilliard School, The Cleveland Institute of Music, The Eastman School of Music, The University of North Carolina School of the Arts and The University of South Carolina. He has often been published in the International Trumpet Guild Journal including interviews with Hakan Hardenberger and with American Brass Quintet trumpeters Raymond Mase and Kevin Cobb. He is the co-editor (with Michael Cichowicz) of Vincent Cichowicz Long Tone Studies and Flow Studies Volume I.
Dulin is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Music, the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music and Stony Brook University. His teachers include John Rommel, Marie Speziale, Kevin Cobb, Michael Sachs, James Pandolfi and Joseph Phelps.
He has served on the faculties of Winthrop University, Appalachian State University and the University of North Florida.
