Posted on 2/5/2010
Leblanc clarinet artist and international soloist, Julian Bliss, has been touring the United States visiting schools, universities, and dealers in the South, Midwest, and West. During the tour, Julian met with audiences of students, teachers, and music educators, sharing his philosophies on practice and performance. Bliss, a well-renowned soloist hailing from the United Kingdom, received a warm welcome in the United States as he introduced audiences to his clarinet model of choice, the Leblanc "Bliss."
A consultant of to the design of the clarinet that model carrying his name, Julian also had the opportunity to stop in Elkhart, Indiana at the Conn-Selmer corporate office and woodwind production facility. Bliss performed for the manufacturing and design team, testing some of the latest models from the Bliss line. While traveling across the country, Bliss was able to demonstrate all three models of the Bliss line, including the new all-wood LB210. Also available in the Bliss line are the LB320, comprised of a high-tech synthetic body, and the LB310--featuring the same body with a Backun grenadilla barrel.
