Orchestre de la Suisse Romande
Born in Metz in 1977, Alexandre Faure starts learning trombone in the wind band of Woippy City in France and continued his musical studies at the Metz National Conservatory in the trombone class of Gilles Senon and finally joined in 1993 at the age of 16 years old only the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique of Lyon the class of Michel Becquet and Alain Manfrin.
Alexandre becomes one of the youngest students ever to have reached this prestigious class.
He graduated from the Conservatoire with the National Diploma of Higher Music Studies with honors and unanimous congratulations from the jury and got the Antoine Courtois special prize in June 1998.
Alexandre have participated in the French Youth Orchestra conducted by Marek Janowsky, the Youth Orchestra of the European Community conducted by Sir Colin Davis, the Evian "Orchestre des rencontres musicales" conducted by Mistlav Rostropovich and was selected to participate in the Academy of Schleswig-Holstein Orchestra.
He won the 3rd prize at the Toulon International Trombone Competition in 2001, the 3rd prize in the Grenchen International Trombone Competition in 2002, the 3rd prize in the Guebwiller International Brass Ensemble Competition in 2001 and also the 3rd prize in the competition Passau Brass ensemble in 1999 with his trombone quartet called "Kimoïz".
As guest player He often performs with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Münchner Philharmoniker, Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Zurich Opera, Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris, Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre National de France, Orchestre National de Lyon, Orchestre de l'Opéra de Lyon, National Orchestra of Lorraine, Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, Euskadiko Orkestra,Monaco Philharmonic orchestra.
He have recorded a lot with Michel Becquet and the trombone-tuba ensemble called "Octobone" as well as the quartet "Kimoïz" at Octavia Records Inc.
Since 1998, he has been the principal trombone of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and since 2008 he's a member of the artist faculty specialized in the trombone-tuba orchestral excepts training department at the Music University of Geneva.
