Greg is a freelance musician in the San Francisco Bay Area.
As a classical saxophonist, Greg studied with Doug Masek, Bil Jackson, John Harle, and William Trimble, performed in masterclasses with Greg Banaszak and Gary Keller, was the on-call saxophonist for the New World Symphony (in Miami, FL), was a member of the Spoleto USA Festival Orchestra, and was the Saxophone Fellowship student for the 2007 and 2008 Aspen Music Festival. Greg has shared the stage with such renowned performers/conductors as Leonard Slatkin, Michael Tilson Thomas, David Robertson, Kathleen Battle, David Zinman and Michael Stern. Greg was featured in the Saxophone Journal Vol. 33 No. 3 ("A Lesson With Greg Chambers").
As a jazz/pop saxophonist, Greg has worked with Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter, has entertained at corporate events for such organizations as Specialized Bicycles and The March of Dimes, and studied with Eric Marienthal for a brief time. Released in September 2011, Greg\'s self-titled album made the Jazzweek Top 50 Smooth Singles Chart and the Most Added/Increased Airplay lists for Billboard Magazine, Smoothjazz.com, and RadioWave.
