Huanwei Li is the trumpet teacher of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music. As a renowned Chinese young trumpet performer, he acquired the highest performance diploma (Konzertexamen) in trumpet chamber music performance from Stuttgart University of Music and Performance which recognized in China as the Doctor degree. He also acquired double master diplomas in trumpet performance and trumpet education from Weimar Liszt Academy of Music and a degree of Orchestra Solist from Mannheim Conservatory of Music in Germany. He studied with Prof. Maolin Huang and Prof. Yang Wang in Shenyang Conservatory of Music, Prof. Uwe Komischke in Weimar Liszt Academy of Music, Prof. Günter Beetz in Mannheim Conservatory of Music and Prof. Wolfgang Bauer in Stuttgart University of Music and Performance. Huanwei is the scholarship winner of the first Asia Promotion Association and “Excellent Graduate”of Shenyang Conservatory of Music. In 2003 after his graduation, he became a trumpet teacher in the attached school (Dalian Campus) of Shenyang Conservatory of Music. He studied for 10 years in Germany from 2006 to 2016. At the invitation of the main church of Waldkirch city (Germany) in 2011, Huanwei successfully held a New Year concert for solo trumpet and pipe organ and was interviewed by the famous German newspaper“Badische”. In the same year, he became the principal trumpet player in Heilbronn symphony orchestra. As a former member of the Mannheim Brass Quintet, he visited South America with Mr. Winfried Kretschmann (Governor of Baden-Fort Worth, Germany) and toured in Argentina, Brazil, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Mannheim, etc. As a guest trumpet player, he performed with Weimar National Opera, Trier Opera House, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra, Ningbo Symphony Orchestra and was greatly praised by the public. He held masterclasses and concerts in Rio de Janeiro National Conservatory of Music, Taiwan Fu Jen Catholic University, Shenyang Conservatory of Music, Northwest University for Nationalities, etc. He was invited by Mr. Yu Long, music director of Shanghai Symphony Orchestra to join the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra as the deputy principal trumpet player. In 2015, he was employed by the Orchestral Department of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music as a full-time trumpet teacher. In 2017, he led the students to participate in the 7th International Trumpet Festival and won the Gold Award of the professional group. In 2018, he led the students to participate in the 2018 New Fuxin (Haizhou) International Wind Art Festival & Trumpet Competition and won the Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards as well as the Outstanding Instructor Award. In 2019, he led the students to participate in the Western China (Chengdu) International Trumpet Art Festival & National Trumpet Competition and won the Gold and Silver Awards.
