Lise Bouchard earned a Master’s degree from the University of Montreal in 1987. Since 1987, she has been holding the position of second trumpet of the Orchestre Métropolitain under the artistic direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin. She also holds the same position at the Orchestre Symphonique de Laval under the artistic direction of Alain Trudel.
Since its inception in 1989 (and as a founding member), she has been the trumpeter of the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne under the direction of Lorraine Vaillancourt.
Occasionally, she works with other Montreal orchestras such as the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the Longueuil Symphony Orchestra, the I Musici de Montréal Chamber Orchestra, the McGill Chamber Orchestra and the Festival de Lanaudière Orchestra.
In addition to her activities as a performer and as an orchestra musician, she teaches trumpet at University of Montreal, at Vincent d'Indy Music School and at Joseph-François-Perrault High School since 2015.
