Dr. Rami El-Farrah is a concert saxophonist best known for his work as a soloist and member of the Zenith Quintet and the Bel Cuore Quartet. Having won several awards as a soloist and chamber musician, hes performed across the United States and throughout Europe and has been featured on several musical albums. In addition to concertizing Dr. El-Farrah teaches saxophone at The University of Texas at San Antonio where he also leads a saxophone ensemble and teaches Jazz History.
Currently Dr. El-Farrah performs with groups like the Zenith Quintet, Bel Cuore Quartet, San Antonio Symphony and Austin Symphony as well as teaching privately in San Antonio and as saxophone instructor at UT San Antonio.
As an arranger, Dr. El-Farrah is constantly creating new works for his ensembles and for other saxophonists across the U.S., many of which have performed and recorded his music.
Notable publications by Dr. El-Farrah include Dynamic Duos for Saxophone (MusePub), a two-part series for beginner/intermediate and advanced students of saxophone, Dynamic Duos for Alto and Tenor Saxophone (MusePub) and 64 Musical Studies for Saxophone (Southern Music).
