A trombonist, composer, arranger and producer Born on July 25, 1963 in Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture. He released the first album in 1991. After that, internationally recognized musicians such as David Sambourne, Michael Brecker, Randy Brecker, Bob Mintzer, Fred Wesley, Tower of Power, Marcus Miller, etc. participated in his solo albums as guest players. In addition, he released a collaboration album with Ivan Lins in 2010. He experienced a lot of overseas expeditions including the Montreux Jazz Festival and JAVA JAZZ (Indonesia). Currently, he is the concertmaster of Sadao Watanabe Big Band and is also in charge of arranging in the band. In the pop music in Japan, he contributed as an arranger for Ringo Shiina, Ken Hirai, Yuzu, Noriyuki Makihara, Tomoyasu Hotei, and so on. In addition, he arranged the wind orchestra version of Evangelion and many works are provided in the wind orchestras like JASDF Aerial Central Music Corps, Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra and 2014 band restoration, etc. In 2016, he arranged the music which was used in Flag Handover Ceremony at Rio Olympic Closing Ceremony and he performed trombone as well. In 2017, he composed "Power of Sports" at Tokyo Metropolitan Government Projection Mapping Event for the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020. In 2017, his latest solo album "LIVE" was released. This is his 21st work and is for a big band jazz orchestra. At the same time, all scores of the 9 songs were published.
